Pretty Face

by Sheila Hightower-Allen **LEO** - Not entered

I sit quietly and thoughts of you immediately race into my
mind. I close my eyes and try hard to envision your face.

Suddenly...your face comes into view.

The arch of your eyebrows, the shape of your hauntingly
beautiful eyes, the slant of your nose, the curve of your
thin lips, and finally the formation of your strong chin.

Slowly...the thought of your face causes a sly, crooked
smirk to appear on my face. A low, husky snicker spills
from my llps, and a warm sensation spreads over my body.

Everytime I gaze upon your face, I wonder why the sight
of it stirs such intense emotions within me?

I can't really say...all I know is it's such a pretty face!

Reason for writing:

This poem was inspired by my first love. He played such a very important role in my life. And I often think fondly of him.
