My Love

by Elizabeth Rollins - Not entered

I gave you my love, all my love to you
I did all I could to keep you in my life
I gave you all my love
You didn't seem to care, you didn't care that you were my one true love, how much I cared for you
You rolled your eyes and turned and walked away
I screamed to you I said I love you with all my heart you are my love
You turned and hollored back at me; you are not mine; and you walked away
I cried and through my tears I asked why, you are my love how come I'm not yours?
You are no longer my love I said goodbye to you
You are no longer in my life you no longer run it
No more tears are shed from my eyes because of you
I realize now I'm not your love and you are not mine.

Reason for writing:

I wrote it because I love writing and reading poetry. I never thought I was a good poet until I entered one of my other poems 3 Months Ago into a contest and became a semi-finalist. So I have decided to contribute a few of my other poems into this site, just to see what other people think of my works. Please mail me with your comments good or bad.
