lost

i called out, is anybody there?,
but there was no answer,
perhaps she didn't hear.
i searched for her
to come by my side,
but no one was there.
she had gone to hide.
she was hiding from herself
because she was so scared.
she wanted to be different,
but she didn't dare.
she was always the type 
to do what she was told,
but often wanted more...
to be beautiful and bold.
i kept on searching, 
but she didn't make a sound.
i was searching for myself,
for i am lost, and have not been found!
