Twisted

by Brian Ray - Not entered

Twisted trees like arms around me,
stuggling to break free.
Fighting though the fog they call life,
to see what there is to see.
Boulders and pittfalls block the way,
the way for me to escape.
Searching for help from visions around me,
that never seem to take shape.
Journeys far and journeys near,
take me nowhere in time.
The nightmares that haunt you deep in the night,
become the life thats mine.
Tears shed from eyes fall uselessly,
like a tree forsakes it's bark.

Alone like a candle that burns for eternity,
but is always surrounded by dark.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem at a time when no one could have made me feel complete. It shows me now how a lonely heart weeps for love. And the effects that has on your outlook.
