JOSHUA CALLED ME HOME

by Jason Littrell (cancer) - Not entered

Somewhere a girl is crying
A life lost in her hands
Can she overcome the sying
as tears begin to land
she looks at me and smiles
Will everything be right
Can only help but wonder
Can she begin to end this fight
Her dreams become uncertain
As an angel looks away
She thought it couldn't happen
But there he dream will lay.

Somewhere a girl is thinking
of what it could be like
to hold a son in her arms
to love him day and night
she thought of toys to buy
a room was built for him
but after what just happened
her dreams are looking grim
and as she tries to forget what happened
she grabs her face in fear
doing nothing more than thinking
as an angel sheds a tear.

Reason for writing:

Thought of it one day.
