UNANSWERED

by Jason Littrell (cancer) - Not entered

Dark as sin outside it was
Just driving around minding our business
Taking her home
Then out of no where
Without a warning, to make a scare

Why Why Why
Does it have to be this way
When life's so short
Yet you still have to pay

With no control
on what went on
could only set there
thinking what could go wrong

Couldn't walk the line even if he tried
then drove out of no where
to hit her side
I knew in an instant when i looked around
she was not in her seat, she was on the ground

Shattered glass
and the color red
by the look in her eyes
she was almost dead,

Then it happened
one of life's biggest fears
all the guts and glory
ran away, in, tears

And she said...
Why Why Why
does it have to be this way when lifes so short
yet you still have to pay

Why Why Why
when you look in dismay
the light seems to fade
and life goes away......
