Never Say Goodbye

by Eric - Sagittarius

January 10, 1998

On a cold winter early morning I found myself in a foreign land,
walking towards my temporary home with a new found friend,
the moon's bright reflections off of a frozen river to guide our way,

when she turned to say,
I can go no further,
I turned to her with a smile,
then before I could think about all that had been,
our lips met in unison again,

we then both smiled to depart for our own way,
then after a while she turned around to say,
I will be missing you,
I turned around briefly to look at her beauty once again,
believing it would be the last,
so I then kept walking never to look to the past,

when I looked to a bright star in the sky,
asking myself all that had been,
when all of a sudden,
a cold gust of wind,
delivers my body to a shiver,
my heart pounding to a stop to deliver,
the answer I new would be true,
we shall meet again,

I then turned around to tell her never to say good-bye,
but she was not to be found,

I looked to that very same star,
using its fluorescence to lead my way home,
knowing that this very star will guide my way back,
to her soothing warm embrace,
so that I may kiss her rosy red lips,
again and again!
