The darkness brings me closer The coldness draws me in Just looking deep inside my eyes Brings out the sorrow from within I was once someone they knew Such kindness on my face But my hearts no longer full of love Hurt and pain now takes it place The warmth was there but now its gone My laughter and smile lost too My eyes so cold and empty All my nightmares had come true Although they tried to help me Save my smile from being lost They failed once and then again My soul the bitter cost Alone and hurt is all im feeling Cried the tears that made me blind Since then i've never shed a tear Bitter memories invade my mind I remember the sun apon my face Such warmth inside my heart For a fleeting moment im set free Then pain returns,warmth and freedom now depart No one knows the pain i feel The icey coldness in my heart The bitterness inside my soul As i watch my life slowly fall apart
Reason for writing:
I wrote this poem because because i have changed through out the years and no one understood what i was going through..so i wrote this just to show them the depth of it all....
i submitted it to show people what abuse of any kind can do to a person
