The Light

by Melanie, taurus - Not entered

Her face fragile
Her body thin
Nothings surprising
The way its been

She forces a smile
To hide the pain
Uncontrollably, the tears fall..
Like rain

But the dirt on her face
And the sores on her legs
Do not cover the real beauty..
Which cannot be erased.

She knows theres a better place to come
And soon the suffering will be over
But then something happens
And she feels numb

She looks up to see a girl
With warmth and only love in her eyes
This mysterious girl is taken back
By the poor place, where the dying girl lies

She fears she is to late
For the girl looks so bad
If only she had come sooner
If only she had

And then another single tear falls
From the poor girls pretty eyes
She is almost gone,
And then she dies

And the mysterious girl
Sees a light so bright
Dark yellow, and pale white

She is filled with hope
Because she knows its true
The little girl
Is finally free, too.
