Reflexion

by FA - Not entered

Wrapped in night's black curtain; a figure
Mysterious, shady creature
A cold wind wraps my body
AS can feel him calling me

Slowly I yield to his command
Guided by some invisible hand
So close, I feel his breath
The moist, choking smell of death

Staring into his eye's grey emptyness
Spellbound by his mind's sinuous caress
Sharp flash of blinding light
A strange force I dare not fight

My mind and his; perfect union
I stand speechless, dazed by the vision
An endless mass of distorted bodies
Arms reaching up, wailing in agony

I run; try to escape
I scream and cry as their talons rake
Bloody stripes crisscrossing my body
As his demons steal my sanity

All his evil, all his sins
Embedding themselves in my skin
Dragged in the icened sea of despair
Fighting as I drown, gasping for air

ENOUGH! with that vision of horror
I shut my eyes and smash the mirror...
