The Peach

by Robin--- Taurus - Not entered

The peach bit me with its irresistable sweetness,
As it's teary juice ran down my chin like rain.
The punch of its color sent a chilling pain through my eyes
as the sun fell upon it,
I felt that they would just run away with the glare.
I met a fuzzy sensation when my lips touched the surface,
And I cried out with joy as it began to tear like paper
   between my teeth.
This peach was like the hot sun, its warmth excited me and
I ran to retrieve yet another.

Reason for writing:

It was a class project, and we had to write poems that
dealt with personification, similes, and metaphors. I
chose a peach because I find things that tend to be unique
and what no one else would think of. I've written poems
like this before.
