Neversome (The love that never was and never will be) Sour harvest of tears - Beaten love of the Neversome. Lifes hand is dealt to me - I await the moment of truth to come. Her silent blue eyes - What secrets there lie in? My soul lies in want. Too fearful to speak, I grasp on her whim. So tragedy befalls. Such sorry - What shall now become, of my bleak, shattered heart. Fallen too short - into the Neversome. I am the sad song that you embrace. I am the bitter rejection you fear. I am the lack of courage you face. My simplicity draws you ever near. I am the Neversome. The love that never was - The love that never shall be. Face me with boldness ashore, or embrace me forever more.
Reason for writing:
Pretty much a story of my own fear of approaching a woman inspired this poem. I kept thinking there could have been so many perfect one's out there for me, yet I never had the courage to speak to them. And so I came up with 'Neversome'. The word sort of fit the situation. The poem came shortly after.Birth sign: Libra
