Loved as, Joshua, when he was born And David looking in his eyes Smiling and changing as his daddy stood there And how he treated him like he might break Just waiting to hold him forever Loved as, My mom, staying home to raise her children And not regreting it Reading us stories And falling asleep before we did And kissing our wounds Loved as, The first man I ever loved, My father Always working harder when we needed more When I had colic, taking care of me Then going to work for eighteen hours Loved as, All my friends, who I would do anything for Because they've done the world for me People I'll always be there for Even if they don't need me Who taught me how to worship my friends And to always be there for people? Who taught me to love and be loved? See beauty internally? And see the good in people? Who taught me?
Reason for writing:
The reason I wrote this poem is because of my parents. I can always count on them for comfort and guidance and the one thing that will never change, their love for me. They've taught me so much in my life and being only 16 at the present time, there is so much more to learn.Birth sign: Not entered
