Death's Toll

by Kristen Karls (virgo) - Not entered

I go to the graveyard,
and I think of the dead.
There are so many thoughts,
that go through my head.
Like death and dying,
and what it must be like,
to be under ground
and not see the light.

I think of their families,
Who now live alone.
Who are without this one person,
but they should have known,
That death takes its toll,
no matter the age.
No matter if this persons life was family,
or if it were the stage.

Death takes its toll
everyday and each night.
The next might be you,
it might, it just might.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem because of all the people who were dying, famous or non-famous. I know it might sound cold hearted, but my friends told me to submit it. So I did.
