Should I Give Her A Chance

by Alicia - Not entered

She was only sixteen when she had me
Not even a week old she had to say good bye to me
Being so young, doing what she has done
Should I give her a chance?
Doing what she thought was best for me
she had to see that she found a family that would
love and care for me.
Being so young, doing what she has done
Should I give her a chance?
Growing up through the years, shedding some
painful tears, thinking....
Being so young, doing what she has done
Should I give her a chance?
Now that I'm almost 16, I'm starting to see that what
Being so young, doing what she has done
   She deserves a second chance.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this because my real mom gave me up 15 almost 16 years ago. At one point I wondered if I should ever come in contact with her, should I give her another chance to try and be my mother again. Then I go to thinking, she was young and she only wanted what was best for me and I am thankful that she put me up for adoption. It is very painful though. I hope that one day I will meet her and we can start a new life over together.
