she took me in when no one else would taught me how to love, hope, & trust she held me close in her heart when no one else could she helped me understand life in so many ways never in my life has anyone ever given me so much she dismissed so much in her life to make room for me and gave me everything she had free she had that special little sparkle in her soul and gave me mine everything i needed do desperately for so long she gave or taught unselfishly in so many ways she gave me it all the strength to have the knowledge the knowledge to have the strength she tried to prepare me for the life she knew was ahead she knew the time was soon she had been fighting it for too long she was tired you could see the look of sadness in her eyes we knew she would not live she pulled me from my lowest to be sure i wouldn't drown but my life preserver would be gone all too soon it was like shattering glass i woke before the call i felt her presence so strong her soul came to touch me came to hold me, to reassure me one more time before she left the call came shortly before 2am her soul was there with me at my weakest like she always was like she still is she loved me like a mother would like only a mother could only a mother should she will forever and always be a part of me more than that she's a part of my soul
Reason for writing:
i wrote this about a very special person in my life. she was my grandmother, mother , teacher, and best friend. she taught me to be the person i am, the person i will be for the rest of my life, and she also gave me the courage to pass this all on to my child to help make him be the same type of caring and loving individual as she was.Birth sign: Not entered
