Secret Feelings I've always tried to hide my feelings But I can't keep them inside anymore They're tearing me apart Wanting to get through It's not worth the pain To watch you walk by So casually I say Hi But I'm dying inside Dying to see you again If only for a second Your name rings in my ears You're always in my thoughts Until I can't stand it anymore It's you I want So I let my feelings go Let everyone know what it is That's been troubling me for so long Now I get more than just glances of you More of what I've wanted for years I don't know why I've kept it In for so long Killing me inside It was a secret not meant to hide So softly I whisper those words As I listen to you do the same What I've wanted for all time Was much better than a secret Not meant to hide
Reason for writing:
I wrote this poem for one of my close friends, she had a major crush on some guy and I was trying to convince her to let him know.
Well it worked.
I submitted this poem because I enjoy reading other people's poetry and I wanted to give someone else a chance to read mine.
