Wondering

by Kevin-- Cancer - Not entered

I sit wondering what to write
I sit with you in sight
There is so much I have to say
How do I put it the correct way
Where do I start
To tell you what’s in my heart
I want to tell you I still care
But I know I must not dare
I know you can tell
That you can see through this frail shell
It’s been so long since I’ve seen your smile
How I wish I could turn back that dial
I look into your eyes
To see what they convey
But you look away
Every once in awhile you give that look
A look that I can not explain
A look that causes no pain
A look that the wait may not be in vain
From behind comes a sweet sound
It’s your voice ---Hi geek
Instinctively I turn around
A word that would cause others to feel down
A word that causes me to smile
A word that sends my hopes skyward for awhile
We joke and laugh , as in times past
Times that went by to fast
Times that I miss
Times that I wish could have last
So here I sit wishing I could tell you what’s in my heart
Wishing we would have never part
Wishing we could talk every night
Wishing I never caused your flight
Longing to hold you so tight
Here I sit wondering what to write

Reason for writing:

I work with a person I care deeply for. Comments Always Welcome.
