Sunset

by KeriLynn Brzozowy - Not entered

The Sun
So distant
Sinking
In a blaze of colors

Vermillion, blood,
Close to the ground
Th higher you go
The lighter the shade

A brilliant yellow
Fades into blue
So pale a shade
It makes you cry

Dark buildings
Block the view
But still,
Between,

Dark clouds
A misty gray
Will cover some
But still,
I see

A golden light
Shining through
The sky
Seems to melt

For a moment
You think
The world
Will end

As a blanket
Of darkness,
The bearer
Of night

Washes over
The sky
In an
Instant

Then comes
The sun
And then
It sets

All
Over
Again.

Reason for writing:

I was just playing around on the computer around 8:00 and I happened to look out the window. The sunset was so beautiful, with bright colors and dark clouds, that I had to write about it.
