Somewhere In A Dream

by Donna~Pisces - Not entered

Somewhere in a Dream

The face of an angel
Eyes so bright
You're here beside me
When day turns night
I slip out of conciousness
Say a prayer or two
I'm soon fast asleep
And dreaming of you

Wedding bells ringing
White lace and flowers
Are all that I see
In the wee morning hours
How happy our lives
Will someday be
I see it all
Somewhere in a dream.

Eyes open wide
In the early morning light
I look all around
But you're nowhere in sight
Hurt fills heart
Tears blind eyes
The angel inside you
Is the devil in disguise

I reach out for you
But you're not here
Instead of happiness
There's nothing but fear
But I'll see you again
When day turns night
I'll keep you this time
Won't let you leave my sight

Oh dreaded morning
When dreams die
But you're right here beside me
And I start to cry
I reach out to touch you
And you take my hand
Love is believing
I now understand

Together forever
Is what we will be
A life full of happiness
For you and me
We believed in each other
Though as hard as it seemed
We found one another
Somewhere in a dream.

Reason for writing:

All the insecurities that are a part of a relationship are sometimes overwhelming
