A Fool's Paradise

by Bridgette *Cancer* - Not entered

You led me into
a fool's paradise.
I had no clue
of its price.
I gave to you
all of my love.
I never knew
how hard you shove.
But I found out,
in a few short weeks,
you had a doubt,
I fell to my knees.
I desperately prayed,
with tears in my eyes,
God let him stay,
or let me die.
Let me remain
in this fool's paradise.
I go through such pain
without you to entice.
Without you here,
it's not the same,
too much to fear,
facing the shame.
You said you loved me,
but you lied,
if you did, you'd see,
and wipe away the tears I cried.
No more to condone,
no more to entice,
you left me alone,
in this fool's paradise.

Reason for writing:

My boyfriend led me to believe that he loved me with all his heart, and LIKE A FOOL, I truly believed he did. But now he's gone, and I'm left hurting and missing him like crazy. I still like him just as much as I always did. And living without him I hate.
