Little girl

by She will know someday, Gemini - Not entered

A little girl that was never allowed to be,
trapped in a woman struggling to be.
A life of abuse and pain, the turmoil inside.
Always stong and independent.

So invulnerable on the surface, yet delicate inside,
her past from the present she try's despretley to hide.
Sympathetic and caring to others, when the are in need,
Sacrificing all.

Completely concealed are the little girls emotions,
and her torment locked up within.
The girl and the woman deserve happiness,
but cannot flourish,

UNTIL THEY BECOME ONE

Reason for writing:

I'm going through a divorce after 8 1/2 yrs of marriage.
Her past and insecurities (through no fault of her own)
have taken their toll, and I just don't know how to help her.
I love her with all my heart and will always be there.
She needs to discover who she is.
