The visit

by Heidi Scholder - Not entered

I dream-walked through your sleep last night,
Did you hear me creep along?
My voice was no more than a whisper,
But did you strain to hear my song?
I dream-walked through your sleep last night,
A floating ghost-like mist
Moving steadily like the early morning fog,
I slipped back once again to reminisce.
I dream-walked through your sleep last night,
As a dark and lonely shadow would.
You lay there so blissfully ignorant...
Would you reach out for me if you could?

Reason for writing:

I want to share my works, because I used to keep them to myself, in fear that I wouldn't be understood. Please tell me what you think about this poem!
