Why is there so much death today Why are people taking lives away How many more must die How many more little children are going to cry ‘Cause there daddy has died Police Officers slain Leaving their families in pain When all they were trying to do Is protect me and you Everywhere such senseless death Leaving them to never take another breath Criminals continue with their greed Leaving the innocent to bleed Not only Officers are dead So are children that were laying in bed Struck with a stray bullet in the head People walking down the street Getting beat Unable to get back to their feet People continue by Just letting them lay there and die Someday that could be you So stop and see what you can do And maybe someone will stop to help you Instead of continuing on by And letting you die
