They sit in the park As it starts to get dark They walk hand and hand Nothing they demand Gladly giving their hearts Knowing the other will never part And here I sit by this tree With no one sitting next to me Having no one to walk across this land No hand within my hand Wondering what it would cost To find love without loss Knowing each time I give my heart There is always a chance the other will part Taking a piece Leaving me to sit in the dark Will someone ever return a part Allowing my heart to mend They never wanting it to end Sitting with me Under this very tree Placing their hand within mine Till the end of time
