Gentle Evelyn Awakes

by K.D. Mc Entire - Not entered

Blank eyes focus
accusinigly
on my hand
trecherous heart
they say
black soul
they scream
why did you not fight
for me
     for you
          for us
for our friendship, our happiness
drop your guilt
as you did your honor
go to them
stand naked under their hot glare
of mechanical scrutiny
perhaps you could earn back
my sanity
     my love
          my life

Reason for writing:

    Evelyn,

Next time don't use a car.
