We Must Wonder

by Kiki - Not entered

You see a man so frail
when once he stood so strong
you cannot help but wonder
what in God's name is wrong?

A baby is born addicted
her suffering is so unfair
you cannot help but wonder
is there anyone left who cares?

The homeless person wanders
so alone from day to day
you cannot help but wonder
why a human must live this way?

A child has shot a child
one is dead and the other scared
you cannot help but wonder
do our children have a prayer?

From Aids to drugs to violence
to having no where to live
we all have got to wonder
what is to happen to our kids?

Reason for writing:

I wrote this after watching a documentary on world change.
I have a collection of over 300 personal poems which I have
always wanted to share with others. I am a new web customer
and came across this particular page. I am so excited to
know that my poems can finally be read by so many. I will
submit others in the hope that one may cheer someone up or
possibly make someone's day just a bit more pleasant. Enjoy!
