One Night's Peace

by Monica *Gemini* - Not entered

One Night’s Peace

The wind blew through her golden hair
and the moonlight touched her face.
She’s spent many an evening here
obscured by nights embrace.

The days are long
and the road’s been hard,
but still, this silent time
reminds her of just why she’s here
as thoughts run through her mind.

The hour is late
the dark brings peace
to an otherwise turbulent soul.
And once in a while you’ll see her smile
in the shadows flashing gold….

Reason for writing:

It's a poem about myself after finding an evening of peace standing in the shadows of my window late at night and feeling the wind blowing on my face.
