Star

by Steve - Not entered

Staring at the waters of effervescent sunshine
I see nature’s vision
Scintillating in the crimson skies of sunset
A warm embrace
Like summer’s sweet caress of love and vivation
Wishing upon a star
Your adhesive pulchritude captures bolts of lightning
That glisten the perfection of dreams
To one feathered by the moonlight
Wishing to one day be swept into the heavens
And form new stars, together

Reason for writing:

Most of my poems are written out of frustration. My one true insecurity is in relationships. Because I am afraid to
instigate them, I spend time sadly dreaming of a chance to succeed. This one was the first poem I wrote, a while ago. I wrote it for my girlfriend at Christmas.
