Drowning In You

by M.R. Haden - Not entered

Did you ever love, my friend
That we fall into temptation yet again
To know a sin is still a sin
And the kiss is still the same
And as strong as sin can ever be
It will never cross the shame.

Help me, I'm drowning in you
And ever since the threshold of that touch
I meant so much to be a part of you

Maybe you're a fantasy
A thing that won't exist
Unless I call into memory
The way our tangled bodies twist.

Your tongue is but a woman
That's learned to darkly rape me
And though you be forever man
Are you the one who shapes me?

Help me, I'm drowning in you
But maybe I'm not so right as I am half so wrong,
I think you died in other waters not quite mine,
But if to save you means taking you down with me,
Well--
Hold your breath. It won't be long.

Reason for writing:

The way a friend will try to destroy you with the pretense of love. And how they suddenly realize it may well be the other way around. Hence, taking you down with me.
