sunlight

by emily mason, virgo - Not entered

Nobody ever cared too much about you
So i guess i shouldn't put you away just yet
Maybe let you see the sun
Before you return to a shadowy holding cell.
Nobody ever cared about me either,
So maybe we match,
And we can stand on the green earth,
Stare at the sun, wait for it to set and rise
Before we return to our solitary grey lives.
And who knows...i just might remember you,
And maybe you'll remember me
We can go outside again,
Stare at the sun and hold hands,
Comfort each other before we return once again
To our own lonely bleaknesses.
Once more around again,
Spinning slowly like the land we stand on
Waiting in darkness to see the sun one last time.
