Do You Remember?

by Bridgette *Cancer* - Not entered

Do you remember,
that one special night?
You asked me to be yours,
and I accepted with delight.

You were so excited,
that I liked you, too.
I never even thought,
maybe your feelings weren't true.

Do you remember,
how much fun we had?
We had so many good times,
and dealt with the bad.

I grew to love you,
more than you can ever know.
Even though it was a short time,
I still love you so.

Do you remember,
the way my lips felt?
The way you made me feel,
you made my heart melt.

Do you remember,
how our hands intertwined?
Or how I held you,
not caring if the sun never again shined.

Do you remember,
when you confessed you loved me?
Unfortunately you didn't mean it,
or my tortured heart you'd free.

Do you remember,
how fast your heart beated,
I felt it against me,
as I held you like you needed.

Do you remember,
when you held your hand to my heart?
You said you'd never leave,
you said you'd never part.

Do you remember,
how much love I gave to you?
I know that you don't,
you don't have a clue.

Do you remember,
how I love you, my dear?
If you did you wouldn't be gone,
I wouldn't have to long for you to be near.
