Letting You Go

by Annika Scorpio - Not entered

I should have told you that you were entering a world of nothing but liies.
But I was so thrilled just being with you that day.
It was a time where we never ran out of things to say
And we were living in an imaginary world where love never dies.

But now we have given each other so many tries
That I would no longer call you back and beg for you to stay.
It's better this way.
It was a mistake to cheat on you with other guys

And I know one day I'll look back on the love I once had.
It will be the day your heart skips a beat
And you will no longer feel alone in this world we all share.

Though I'll be glad for you, of course I'll be jealous and sad,
When I watch you and the other girl greet.
But I know it's how it should be, it's just fair.
