truthfully

by kelli bircket (Aries) - Not entered

i've waited all my life for you.
and you've waited all your life for me.
i know we belong together, but
tonight you set me free.
you said you were living a lie.
you said that you need your space.
i love you, so i let you go
as the tears rolled down my face.
but your eyes are always truthful
and they say you told a lie.
you're just afraid to love me.
though you aren't quiet sure why.
you may realize the truth one day,
but it will take a while.
for now i'll have to carry on
and try to fake a smile.
until then my heart's all in pieces.
though i know one day they'll heal.
cause i just lost a love so very true.
and this pain is incredibly real.
