Romeo

by Sylvia Aurelia - Not entered

Quotes to me of roses red,
kisses me to a brighter age--
he is the memory
of an experience never known.
His touch is that of inspiration
in its sweetest form. My eyes are
shut and hear only the melody
and see only the picture show
playing within myself. Be him
a dream as he may, there is
nothing more divine. The eyes
disappear beneath voiceless
nights in which his figure
still dominates. Delirious memories
of the night embrace me as his big
hands rove and discover anew.
Silence echoes into easily forgettable
flatteries, and the shadows
dive deep-dark into dreams.

Reason for writing:

just jilted again, wanted to believe, try to believe, that someone could love me, such are my dreams.
