The Loss Of A Little Girl

by Jackie Truszkowski - Not entered

I once knew a little girl
a little girl whose world
was destroyed and whose
heart was ripped apart.
This girl knows the meaning of the
word PAIN
She knows it too well
Not so much physical pain,
but mental pain.
You see,
one night changed her
entire life.
There was a shot. A gun shot.
Four more soon followed.
Then there was silence
Her father was pronounced dead
later that night.
The shots were meant for
pain and warning;
Not Death.
This girl could've been next.
She could've died along
with her father.
But she was never harmed.
Not physically.
This innocent little girl threw
her life away.
She declared it over. She
said she didn't want it
anymore. She said she
couldn't handle it.
Her mind got stuck on death and
depression.
She even tried suicide.
She tried to end her life.
This little girl wanted nothing
more then to join her father.
That one night
ruined her.
It destroyed her.
She lost something she
can never get back,
and she gained
something she never wanted.
