Split

by Chris Sheffler - Aries

I wallow in guilt and selfish regret,
fallen from heaven,
wadering aimlessly through the Elysian Fields,
I'm turned around,
searching for words that are not of my own,
you're so misunderstood,
salvaging my life to save what's left inside,
minds still undecided,
darkness overwhelms this prison of remorse,
lost now forever,
indeciferable renditions of ageless songs,
crying for mercy,
shattered upon the ground like indestructable glass,
you'll never know,
hiding behind a mask of false identities,
you're so blind,
prisms of light adorn the dark, velvet sky,
there's always tomorrow,
dreams have escaped the lips of the damned,
someone to blame,
redemption draws nearer with each passing day,
it's not yours,
crystals crack the paper wings of the skies,
daydreams for destruction,
symphony of choas and melody of pain,
my favorite sounds,
blood flowing through the vallies of discoloration,
a beautiful sight,
with hopes that have gone assunder and recluse,
such a pity,
through discovered aspects of forgotten beliefs,
where are you,
lost in a fantasy that I can not have,
you're so pathetic,
forget all you've known and learn what you see,
hollier than now,
ended in a flash of light and a tint of joy,
this ends now...
