Concentrated Ground

by Chris Sheffler - Aries

Everything I touch becomes broken,
caressing my heart, I am forgotten,
time has taken it’s toll on my frail eyes,
blinding my life with harmful lies,
synthetic strings of plastic wire,
pain and misery are my own desire,
while searching for the solution,
to build a love so true, my resolution,
your here in my desolate heart,
but drawn between nothing, I’m torn apart,
lost in a world of artificial memories,
my willpower is something that flees,
condemned to live a life so condemned to hell,
what to say, what to do, what to tell,
you being is the essence of my spirit,
I call your name, but will you hear it,
not today and possible nevermore,
will you always be who I adore,
my life is incomplete without you love,
release my being, and let me soar like a frozen dove,
I do not know how much longer I can go on,
this is my final request to you,
say you love me, and I’ll always be true...
