Lake Of Remorseful Regressions

by Chris Sheffler - Aries

I close my eyes, but your image remains,
being away from you, my soul how it pains,
I'd give you my heart if that's all it takes,
drowning in sorrow and heartbroken lakes,
my soul is on fire whenever you are near,
to tell you my feelings, your reaction I fear,
I could stare into your eyes for days upon end,
now if someone could take my heart and mend,
belief in a truth that I wanted to be,
believing in things that I would never see,
my feelings are bent in two different ways,
the past holds my dreams and games it plays,
I can not stand life knowing that I am alone,
for love to me was something that was never shown,
your face is the only thing that is on my mind,
but you do not know, this pain always will remind,
one day you may know how I feel inside,
until that great day, my heart will have died...
