You said tomorrow would be another day, but it feels the same in every single damn way, has time forgotten to advance and constantly stops, as the water rushes from the thawing mountain tops? Has tomorrow come and gone and spoke it's peace, or is it still on the way, bringing with it my release? Yesterday was here today, but tomorrow is no where, should I seek it in the morning, should I even dare? For once I've seen the stars above, the distant waning lights, shining down from the heavens, telling me what are my rights, no, love is not one of them, for love has fell away, it left me alone in the shadows with nothing left to say, I ask you for you seem to know the answers to everything, when is tomorrow, and what is it going to with it bring? You said we'd be together tomorrow, but that day hasn't come, and now I await it's arrival, just to be with you, my heart grows numb, tomorrow I'll wait forever for, because I know then we will be together once more, just you and me, and I will hold you close, because you are the one that I adore...
Reason for writing:
This is a poem about how when we love somebody, we would wait forever to be with them... And sometimes how that day never comes, yet we still hold on, hoping and praying...
