Treasures locked away for months finally were released In some hopes that I may have secured an unending peace As I waited, a scrap was thrown me, a potential key unto my cage I ravenously tore off the ribbon, yet found only one page And flipping through this page, hoping something was revealed Vicious words caught my eye, and this fate has been sealed Never will I dream of hopes that always seemed so far As lightning collapses this shell around me, I see things as they are All this time spent on your knees when you could have been walking All these words erupt in screams when you could have been talking Feed me your lies of ignorance, try to tell me you're alone I've taken up my common sense, resurrected it from the stone Words flood through my mind, and in anger try to break I'm shaking in my infuriation, my head pounds and it aches Pretend you are alone, so some may come running after you But mark my words, my fallen dear, I will not be among the few I gave to you my heart, and I offered it on my knees And you, so lost within yourself, merely ignored my pleas So be it, my dear angel take your wings and start to soar I'm high above this hurt and I won't chase you anymore You cut yourself with beauty just so you may hope to bleed And starve yourself with malicious lies because that's what you need Disillusion yourself so you may dwell within your paltry gates I seeked, I knocked, I called for you, and now it is too late Turn away and lock yourself in your daydreams of disease And wonder why you feel empty and your heart can't be appeased Why do I believe that you may only breathe through this inhuman pain Very well my dear, remember me as you lock your chain

If someone wants to be alone, they will remain so. Your love will never help them, make them happy, or feel they are accepted. Nor can they ever accept you for all you are. They haven't the time, they haven't the will, let's pray the lightning breaks this shell.
