A Smile

by Jimmy P Aries - Not entered

Sunshine pour in windows,
Waking up my afternoon.
A smile,
I can afford,
A smile,
At long last.

Breeze blow gently touching,
Standing up embracing.
A memory,
I treasure,
A memory,
Of my past.

Refraining not forgetting,
Loving now not hating.
A hope,
I discover,
A hope,
Held fast.

Darkness creep in windows,
Lulling me to easy rest.
A smile,
I did afford,
A smile,
At long last.

Reason for writing:

To Leokadia: There IS light at the end of the tunnel.
