Spinning The Golden Thread

by Chris Sheffler - Aries

Sparkling in the twilight of an autumn's eve,
watching those in love, finding it hard to believe,
this is pain was something I could never relieve,
but I never felt it this strong until I saw you leave...

Cracked are the crystals I hold onto,
all this time, I thought that you knew,
in your arms I feel love like never before,
love from the angel that I truly adore...

Walking out of my life, I grasped for anything at all,
but my knees grew weak and slowly I began to fall,
this was not foreseen, not told by the writing on the wall,
disarrayed I search for something for my mind to recall...

The stars dance lively in the satin sky,
but when I think of you I begin to cry,
in your arms I feel love like never before,
love from the angel that I truly adore...

The night grew dark as I aimlessly searched for you,
where had you gone, were my dreams finally through?
I didn't know, for how could I, when you never knew?
But I keep holding on until I find out what is true...

Forgive me my unforgiving love,
I seek the help from you above,
in your arms I feel love like never before,
love from the angel that I truly adore...

This heart I hold dear I've given to you this night,
hoping you would take it and make everything all right,
but when you left, everything I hoped for lost sight,
you were my only desire, to be with you at morning's light...

Heartbroken I've lost what I felt what I needed,
when you left, it was the pain that it feeded,
in your arms I feel love like never before,
love from the angel that I truly adore...

When everything has turned away and then left me,
and then you look into my eyes, what will you see?
A lost, hurt and lonely child trying to find what can be,
or a love for you that keeps me captive, never to be free?

Night breaks and morning's here,
hold me close, hold me o'so near,
in your arms I feel love like never before,
love from the angel that I truly adore...
