Heartbroken With Love

by Chris Sheffler - Aries

The waves crash against the tranquil beach,
I’ve searched for you, but you’re out of reach,
why does everything without you seem unjust,
is it because there’s nothing in love that I trust?

Crystallized into a single thought,
cracked from what it never seems,
time has come to end this pain,
for you were in all of my dreams...

The crisp, autumn air sings sweetly into the night,
is there something in this life that could seem right?
Love has abandoned me for the final time once more,
shall I search for you by the moonlight of the shore?

Parting is such sweet sorrow,
but being alone is to much for me,
I needed to be with you forever,
and now that shall never seem to be...

Can you hear my fading voice crying out to you,
don’t you know that everything I’ve said is true?
Can’t you see that without you I am just a shell?
Without you, life seems like an incessant hell...

Loving someone else can hurt,
but when you look into her eyes,
you know that it’s worth it all,
for nothing I’ve said contains lies...

I thought of you every day that we’ve been apart,
no matter what others say, I love you with all my heart,
the waning light that guides me to you has died low,
I want you to see my love, I want you to always know...

Satin ribbons adorn the sky,
as I think what I’ve wanted to say,
please listen to me this once,
and I swear I will tell you my love today...
