Evil

by Lover's Lament (Aquarius) - Not entered

Fickle animal
Enclosing nothingness
Claw your way out
And proclaim yourself
All hail the wonders
Of the massive killer
But he recedes
As the water always does
Never loved
Just a sideshow for a moment
Until the new thing comes about
He will live in the memories of few
But not for greatness
For his suddenness
The chilling coldness of his amethyst bared teeth ablaze
Dropping God knows what
Ablaze with nostrils flared
The killer in it showed, studied, booked, shelved
The killer in us all
Never realized except by few, who care not for their own safety
The heroes in this world
They are the heroes, the ones that preempt
They can manage the beast
Before it comes with its horrible fangs
They sink into another victim
Someone took a gamble and lost their life
Now everyone hustles
For what can’t be won back
But trying is noble
Like our heroes
The heroes know what to do
The smart thing : Finally let go
Give up and start anew
Leave us where we stand, under our own will, watching you go
We’ll stay behind for the hunt, the kill, the agony
Death after suffering, that’s life
I’ve survived it, we will
Life makes us suffer to stop us from being killed
Just one more night
One more dance
Don’t you adore the gravity?
It’s life, the Tao
Truth is everlasting
Truth is everything and anything that ever matters
Truth is sad
The truth is we won’t survive, because we don’t live long enough to live…and learn
Our sensations afixiate us
Our judgment blinds us
Never leap into fire because it is death
But your love is there
So you go, you follow what feels right, instead of what is right
It chokes you up
Makes you vomit
As your eyes slink back and your mouth lolls
You catch a final glimpse of that horrible beast with its teeth bared
You wish you could scream because that beast you see, is you
