TeArS oF tHe FaLlEn AnGeL

by Chris Sheffler - Aries

Time has no known boundaries in space,
but the lying tongues conceive at a restless pace,
condemn my eyes with broken needles blood,
soothe thy soul in the raging, endless flood,
describe to me how things were going to be,
then blind my heart for my ears to finally see,
an empty bottle of releasing wisdom falls,
leading me down the infinite, dimly lit halls,
split your soul and sleep in contented silence,
the path to hell is filled with peaceful violence,
raging demons answer the wingless angel’s hair,
soft melodies fill the blackened and deadly air,
pollute my mind with your sacred beliefs of never knowing,
cry your tears while your dreams are surely flowing,
sanctified is which the ground I stand upon,
drink your poison as their voices speak, your mind they con,
dissolve your love into this lake of fire,
and no longer will it be freedom that you desire,
louder growing are the voices in your head,
speaking in tongues they wither you dead,
lying awake in the cold, dreary night,
the pain drawing nearer believing the lies are so right,
through the fog that covers my broken grave,
I pray for release, a though I would never save,
disciplined lashes from thorn covered dreams,
heart attack failures block out my silent screams,
distasteful repulsion secretes disires forgotten betrayed,
endless in numbers are the childish names we’ve played,
hidden pasts release truths to a future answer,
spreading your hate, it grows line a cancer,
diseased intuition lies upon a crumbling hill,
with powerful thoughts, your head they will fill,
daylight’s morning caresses the night away,
this soulless life of solitude is what I must pay,
rearrange my words to make an incoherent name,
dreary I weep from all the troubles and shame,
casting a line into the deep, dark abyss of rage,
writing my prays in my diary of nevermore page,
superstitious beings ramble on with peaceful dismay,
whisper to me, answering me that nothing will be okay,
remember the love that once used to know me,
now remember the loves that has long since forgotten thee,
I know your face better then I know my own,
but how could you believe me when my love was never shown,
the vivid sky howls through the crimson black night,
rusted bones lay dormant around the unforgiving knight,
recall all my words when nothing else fails,
your life will soon be covered in the darkest of vials,
a boat lost at sea devoted to discover a path,
from death to distruction that’s scattered with wrath,
the children are crying to hounds from the hells,
ending your life, you hear the final chimed bells,
lightning streaks across the moonless and empty sky,
these feelings I’m having are not what I cry,
a white tattered feather falls from the heavens above,
releasing a captive by means known not of,
plastered in time are the thoughts I have left behind,
day dreams of angels are never to remind,
cyanide hopes are revealing my innumerous task,
taking a drink of death’s wine from a shattered flask,
chemical imbalances in my head show me pride,
a hateful remorse inside of me hasn’t yet died,
when all is finally said and done, the angel’s of fate have flown,
left in the shadows, by myself, but never all alone…
