Memory

                                                     Memory

When I close my eyes as I fall asleep
I see our memories running through my mind

I feel the chill of the sea as we dance in the waves
looking curiously into each other's eyes
as the moment struck us and our lips first met

I smell the scent of the ocean and the sand
and hear the waves crashing to the shore
couple with you voice, it becomes a symphony of beauty

I see your lovely face, set a fire by the dim glow of candlelight
and feel you skin cling to mine as our passion soars
holding you deep into the night, praying the sun would never rise

I see the reflection of your sweet, warm smile
mirrored upon the cool crystal spring water
and hear you laughter echo though the woods as you play

I dream of your soft eyes gazing into mine
and feel you silken lips as they dance across my face
as your every move drives my heart wild

When I close my eyes I am holding you close
With a memory in my mind and a smile in my heart

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem to my girlfriend. She lives in Atlanta and I live in Florida. One day in English class as I was daydreaming about her..I wrote this poem.
