Untitled

by Chariana Sagitarius - Not entered

She sits alone,
Watching the shadows of the fire
Dance across the wall.
She thinks of him
A tear stains her pale face.
She doesn't know how
To overcome the pain.
It's hard even to speak his name,
Or think of his dark penetrating eyes.
Once it was all she could do
To keep herself from staring.
Now he's gone.
Out of her life forever.
Her hopes and dreams,
Shattered in a second.
As she sits,
she thinks of her life,
How it was,
How it is,
And how it will never be the same.
