The Journey

by Erik Weezer (Cancer) - Not entered

This truth you seek is far away
much further down the road
Yet as for now just stay a while
and rest your heavy load

For what lie ahead will prove to be
the journey of your life
With winding roads many hills and valleys
filled with goodness and with strife

The sun is fast asleep so wait until morn
for its guiding light of fire
Now your bunk awaits in the barn over yonder
so sleep to your heart's desire

Just close your eyes say a prayer
and dream about tomorrow
Rest your soul with sweet tenderness
dream of happiness not sorrow

So wake you will in moments soon
your strength is surely needed
Then use the sun and its blazing truth
with fire as your journey is completed

Reason for writing:

    Learning what patience is!
