I am the girl

by Melissa A. Claggett - Not entered

I am the girl who was never thought of; who was never got asked to a dance.
I am the girl who was never talked; who was never given the chance.
I am the girl who sits in her room and cries about things gone wrong.
I am the girl who conquers all and always remains strong.
I am the girl who misses a class and no one asks me why.
I am the girl who loses a friend and then begins to cry.
I am the girl who lives her life in pain and awful regret.
I am the girl who feels youll be sorry that we never met.
I am the girl who dies inside each and every day.
I am the girl who watches you as you become astray.
I am the girl who feels your pain and prays to your god each night.
I am the girl who no one listens to, even if they know I'm right.
I am the girl who wonders when someone will bother to care.
I am the girl who forgets her book, but no one wants to share.
I am the girl who sits and thinks I wonder when they'll see
that every person in this world is just as beautiful as me.

Reason for writing:

I submitted this poem because I wanted people to feel my pain. I wanted them to know that if they feel alone their not the only ones. And I wrote it and submitted it because the ending is my favorite part. I want people who read this to remember that every single person is beautiful in some way or another.
